// 30+ years of shipping software
Fractional CTO, AI engineer, and full-stack architect. I turn ambitious ideas into production systems. Fast.
About
I've spent three decades building software, from consulting for 3,000+ Mac clients as a teenager, to co-founding a development agency, to leading engineering as CIO and CTO at venture-backed companies.
Today, I work as a senior backend and AI engineer, run a few products of my own, and recently co-founded Both Hands with Nathanael Hollands — an AI-for-good consultancy out of Sherbrooke. I specialize in the kind of problems that sit at the intersection of architecture, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and getting things done.
I don't do PowerPoints. I ship code.
Expertise
Technical leadership without the full-time overhead. I help startups and scale-ups make the right architectural decisions, hire effectively, and ship with confidence.
From LLM integrations and agent systems to custom ML pipelines. I've trained engineering teams, brought companies into the AI era, and automated everything from front-desk call centers to full marketing pipelines.
Rust, TypeScript, Python, Go. I pick the right tool for the job. Cloud infrastructure, APIs, real-time systems, and everything in between.
I don't just write code. I ship products. From concept to App Store, from MVP to scale. Strategy, execution, and everything it takes to get to market.
Certified Cosmos developer with years of blockchain engineering for private clients. Smart contracts, custom chains, tokenomics, and decentralized infrastructure that actually ships.
Selected Work
Pure-RAG long-term memory for AI agents. Hybrid search with cross-encoder reranking, served from a single self-hosted Rust binary over MCP.
Voice-to-text desktop app powered by local AI models. Real-time transcription and rewriting, fully offline.
Senior backend and AI engineer on a large-scale Indigenous knowledge platform. Real-time data pipelines, geospatial systems, and AI integrations.
AI-augmented CRM and production system for Le Communicateur, a Quebec commercial printer. Built the original platform in 2013; came back to weave LLMs across quoting, orders, and day-to-day operations.
Chrome extension that turns any webpage screenshot into clean, production-ready code with one click.
Open Source & Community
Beyond client work and products, I build and maintain free tools and platforms that people actually use.
Rust MCP server giving AI agents the full Google Workspace surface: 76 tools across Gmail, Sheets, Drive, Docs, and Calendar. Multi-tenant OAuth 2.1, fully dockerized, native Rust performance on any machine.
From-parts USB fingerprint reader for Linux desktops. Grow R503 sensor + Arduino + a Rust fprintd-replacement daemon — drop-in for PAM, KDE/GNOME settings, and sudo with finger. Under $15 in parts.
Open-source Model Context Protocol servers for MySQL, Atlassian, QuickBooks, OpenAPI, GCloud Logging, and more, so AI agents can talk to real infrastructure.
A growing collection of free tools and platforms for tabletop role-playing communities. Most recently, a character manager for Fallout: The Roleplaying Game. Built and hosted because the hobby deserves better tools.
AI-powered homeschooling platform for families: session tracking, curriculum planning, and intelligent learning support.
A published Chrome extension that brings markdown rendering and editing to the browser. Free and open source.
A cozy web app for families to write, illustrate, and share original bedtime stories for their kids. Free and public to read.
